Immigration Bill Passed!

After the Immigration reform collapsed on Capitol Hill, the Senate decided to revive the immigration bill. The bill was sent to the House of Representatives to vote, and the bill had passed from the votes of 64 to 35 (60 is the required votes to pass). The bill strictly states that illegal immigrants can not become a legal permanent resident and can't be employed for a job anywhere. In addition, employing illegal immigrants would lead to facing "increased penalties.

To some extent, I think that it's fair to bring out this bill and passing it. I say this because, in the first place, they aren't supposed to be here because they're "illegal," but the problem is, we need them. Illegal immigrants take the jobs that we don't do and help our economy grow stronger.

Well I feel that our econmy needs illegal immigrants. I agree with you that they do the jobs we wouldn't want to do, and that builds our economy by having an output of more goods and services on the market. However there has to be a limit on how many there are in the U.S.

I have another point of view on the necessity of illegal immigrants. Yes they do complete the jobs that we as Americans do not want to take. But there are many poor Americans still that do need jobs and can not find any becuase illegal immagrants are working for less pay and more hours. I also believe that the secrete sweat shops that we have will decrease in amount due to the immgrant law that was recently passed

I dont think this bill should be passed. This bill is putting a barrier between our econonmy and an able workforce. Our economy could use every worker it can get, and this bill could make it worse

i agree with you and dj75. The immigrants do do the jobs that we don't want to do, but there really does have to be a limit on how many immigrants there would be in the U.S.

By making it illegal for immigrants to be imployed would only discourage them from seeking full citizenship. This, in turn, and as I said in another comment, would damage the economy.
I agree with what desire yams said. The immigrants are taking jobs that Americans would usually refuse to do.
