Report: Wal-Mart tactics violate workers’ rights

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18404137/

The giant retailer, Walmart, is accused of violating workers' rights to organizing. It is noted that Walmart "stands out" for its aggressiveness in its anti-union activities. Lawyers and researchers have studied how worker's are treated, and based on their results, Walmart calls them unsustantiated.

If employees want to organize, they should be allowed to use the right granted to them in the first amendment. Nothing should impede that.

If Walmart employees want to form a union then so be it. Under the 1st Amendment, people have the right to assemble peacefully. Its never justified to break a constitutional law so Walmart shouldn't object.

While I agree, I can't help but think that the workers should avoid working at Walmart. Its not as if they don't know that Walmart is extremely cheap and don't give employees the benefits or rights they deserve

I think that the company has a right to do what it wants since it helped the workers in the first place by giving them jobs. If the employees feel they are being treated poorly then they should either find a new job or negotiate their own benefits.

I agree with you and denakidd. The employees have the right to organize under the first amendment, and Walmart should not violate these rights. But there has been many incidents about Walmart violating the workers' rights... The employees should've been aware of this before.
