Many states are passing laws that forbid drivers using their cell phones while driving, but some states actually are trying to pass driver distraction laws. Many states are trying to ban video games, computers, and fax machines in the cars. These laws would limit the use of many car electronics. Many of these bills have a fines ranging from $50-$600.
I think these bills are great. I think car electronics do distract drivers especially cell phones, but the bills might take it too far.

This will be a good law to pass because many accidents are caused by distractions in the car. Less Distractions less accidents
I believe that passing this law would be a great thing for the Untied States. There would be less accidents on the road and people would be able to concentrate on the road.
I agree and disagree with this law. I agree that it is dangerous for people to use their cell phones on the road. BUt then again, there are so many other things that distracts you other than your cell phone, and the tv in your car- The passengers around you... also music. Imagine the government banning radio and music in your car. That would be horrible. We need to accept that accidents happen whether we like it or not.
Seriously, who needs all those electronics in their car? The purpose for cars is transportation. While this has been blured by the obsessions of "boys with their toys" in shows like Pimp My Ride, it encourages the ideas that driving is something cool and hip. Driving is a serious responsibility that has life and death making decisions in the balance everytime you go for a ride. To sugar coat this danger with fancy gadgets is only further endangering pedestrians and other drivers as our personal blind spot increases.
