Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger says he will be the champion of clean air in California. He says he promotes environmental health. His actions however creates questions as to his real intentions. Lawmakers are busy trying to make laws to regulate the pollution in California. Lawmakers want dirty construction equipment out and replaced. The Governor's administration, working in the shadow, try to stop and delay such actions. The Governor even says the laws should be more "business friendly." Lawmakers still want the regulations on the equipment and drafted the proposal despite Governor and industry complaints.
If the proposal ever becomes law, it would be a big deal since it effects construction industry, business, and environment. Construction industries might end up broke like they say, which will effect business, or they're just exaggerating and make it through somehow. It will also be a step towards cleaner air in California, which is very important considering all the pollutants that exist in the 21st century.

I agree that anything that can be done to prevent air pollution should be done right away. If it means more taxes or companies charging more for their goods, it is worth it. I think that there should be an agreement between the Governor and the businesses involved so that both sides will be content. Much more needs to be done because in the long run, it ensures that the people in the state of California can breathe cleaner air.
Air pollution is quite a big issue in our country, but i don't think it's stressed as much as it should be. I agree with dj75 that anything that can be done to prevent air pollution should be done. I mean it benefits all of us living here right? It's pretty sickening to have to inhale air that has been polluted with toxins and such..
This bill would change California businesses emensly if passed and would hopefully reduce the pollutants in the air in california... I belive this would be a very important bill to be passed.
I would want this bill to go through and maybe we would have a cleaner environment and less pollution in the air.
I think California should clean the air. It is a huge issue especially in largely populated states.
Although this proposal may create a big deal in construction industry, business ,and environment, we need to find ways to regulate the air pollution. Thus, I would have to agree with this proposal.
